In the last "Tip of the Month", we reflected on the importance of asking interesting and insightful questions in order to maximize the effectiveness of our interviews. We really want to ask the kinds of questions that cause our interviewees to have to sit back and think about their answers before responding. We shared a few of our favorite questions, and solicited some of yours as well.

What is your unique selling proposition?
If it were a perfect world, what would be different in your current operation?
What is your vision of a perfect solution?
Who do you consider to be one of your premiere suppliers, and what do they do that is so effective?
If we were to meet 12 months from now, and it was your best year ever, what would have been accomplished to make it so?
If you had a magic lamp for business change, what would your three wishes be?
What's the single most significant thing I could do for you, and how would that impact your customers?
What are you not doing today that if you were would make you more successful?
How would your key competitors describe you?
If I were a fly on the wall at your next senior staff meeting, what would I learn?


What's the value of this list? It is questions like this that can really engage our contacts and coaches. We can actually differentiate ourselves simply by the questions we ask!
