March 2003 Tip: Don't Re-Create the Wheel
No doubt all of us are pressed for time. We have more to do and higher quotas than ever before. The last thing we have time to do is to re-create the wheel. What we need to do instead is to take advantage of the resources we have or can easily get our hands on.
Throughout the IMPAX(r) Process there are a number of deliverables we need to create. These deliverables include letters (IMPAX access letters, research meeting follow-up letters, presentation confirmation and follow-up letters) not to mention IMPAX business presentations.
Rather than create each of these from scratch, why not utilize templates or other letters and presentations to enhance your productivity? There are many sample letters and presentations available. If you have had IMPAX training you no doubt have numerous examples in your participant guides and reference guides. In addition, you may be able to share letters and presentations across your sales team.
Of course we never actually want to use the content from other people's letters and presentations; however, the structure, format and even some of the wording can be very helpful to us. Seeing different examples allows us to develop our own personal favorites, which we then can modify over time.
