Looking Back & Looking Forward
Looking Back & Looking Forward
Happy New Year! Best wishes for a terrific holiday season and a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year 2012. For many of us, and for sure for me personally, this is a great time of year to look back and look ahead.
Looking back, 2011 has been a terrific year in so many ways, both personally and professionally. I have much to be thankful for. I also have a lot to learn. What did I do well? Where did I underperform? What do I wish I would have done better? The answers to these questions are best left private for now!
Looking ahead, 2012 holds a lot of promise for many of us. The question I am asking myself is this, "How will I capitalize on what I learned and raise my game in the coming year to be a better salesman, consultant, speaker, leader and most importantly husband and father?"
As a professional, I have a couple of resolutions:
- To be more proactive - pursuing the right opportunities instead of reacting to the wrong ones.
- To be more strategic - doing more of the important and less of the urgent.
- To practice what I preach to the best of my ability - the better I am at living the IMPAX Process, the more value I bring my clients and team.
- To grow - there is so much to learn and so many ways to improve.
As you set your goals for the coming year, remember this - it's a clean start, a new beginning, and the sky's the limit. What a great time to dream big, plan well and start the year with a bang! Good luck to all of you!
